Windy autumn 2006 continues. With a forecast on my Wednesday afternoon off work that was calling for marginal winds and rain I wasn't expecting to get a sail. But by the time I'd downed tools at 1pm the local weather stations were reporting well in excess of 20mph so I hot-footed it to the beach to meet up with Richard. It pissed it down on the way there and whilst rigging up but fortunately just before hitting the water the rain cleared to leave a solid onshore breeze.

Started off on the big board but this soon became too big as the wind continued to increase. So out came the waveboard! And a decent powered up 1.5hr session was had, mostly chop-bothering, but the occasional 3-4 footer was available for some good jumps and backside bum-wiggles. The water state gradually improved as the tide dropped but unfortunately around 4pm so did the wind. I tried going out again on the big board but no joy. I wasn't bothered though since I'd already had a solid session by then and it was quickly getting dark anyway.

Not the greatest of sessions due to the messy choppy water state, but being unexpectedly well powered up on the waveboard means it just about acquires 4 stars.

And...plenty more to come...it's looking good for the weekend...and beyond. Windy autumn 2006 is now threatening to join windy summer 2004 by being allocated the coveted Legendary status... :-o
